NITROX

NITROX is any combination of nitrogen and oxygen. Regular breathing air is comprised of approximately 21% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen. NITROX mixtures with percentages of oxygen greater than 21% are called Enriched Air NITROX.

Diving NITROX rather than air has many advantages:

NITROX, when used as if it were Air, adds a significant safety factor to your dive profiles. When utilized in this manner - the actual nitrogen in-gassing is that of a 15-20 foot shallower dive. Divers who simply want to build in more conservatism commonly use NITROX and plan dives as if they were using air. If you have one or more contributing factors to DCS working against you (age, obesity, dehydration, a strenuous dive, etc...) then diving NITROX with an air computer or air tables greatly decreases the chances of getting DCS.

WHY A NITROX COURSE ?

The increased oxygen percentages and PO2 in NITROX can become toxic at shallower depths than air. NITROX EAN32 has a depth limit of 130 feet sea water and NITROX EAN36 has a depth limit of 110 feet sea water. For this reason, NITROX training is a must. NITROX, like all other breathing gas mixes (including air), has its safe limits at depth so it is very important to know and understand these limits before you dive NITROX. You will also need a NITROX Certification card to purchase NITROX gas. To fully understand the benefits of using NITROX it is important to receive proper training. Classroom sessions include information on the theory of diving NITROX, blending, dive tables, gas analyzing and dive planning. Upon completion you will receive certification allowing you to use NITROX for all your advanced diving adventures.

UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHER

The PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty course can help you learn how to take your fist underwater photographs or fine tune your existing skills to produce photographs that will stun your friends.

You'll learn the basics of underwater photography such as composition, film type and camera handling, with special emphasis on practical techniques. You'll learn underwater photography dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You'll also learn how to care for and maintain your camera equipment.

(Must be 10 years old, have a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent)

UNDERWATER VIDEO

Do you want to show the underwater world to your land-based friends? Take the PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty course and you'll learn the skills necessary to shoot your own underwater footage.

You'll learn about selecting, maintaining and caring for your underwater videography equipment as well as safe diving practices while on a videography dive. Further, you'll learn video fundamentals, such as exposure, focus, shot types, moves, story line and shot sequencing. Then you'll get to put your knowledge to actual use during your three open water dives.

BUOYANCY

Dive like a professional! Not get out of one's depth! Become a levitation diver!

PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy program is the perfect chance to enhance your buoyancy abilities. This is the principal diving aptitudes.

Improve your buoyancy and you will preserve your energy, air and the environment in the Oman sea.

DEEP DIVING

Come to see the marvellous depths and take your ticket for this diving program!

PADI Deep Diver program suggests you the exploration of a underwater life and you can see a spectacular scenery.

At the time of four dives, you can go to a maximum depth of 40 meters. With the knowledge, abilities and techniques necessary in this program, you will allow to recognize and avoid the dangers on deep dives.

WRECK DIVING

Find a lost treasure, a sunk boat or just explore the sea?

Then the PADI Wreck Diver program is for you.
During this program you will dive at the prestigious site of the Al Munnassir at Bandar Khairan (see Diving trips). Explore the treasures hidden in this boat.

MULTI-LEVEL DIVING

Ready to prepare your dives?

There's so much to see underwater that you will want to make the most of your stay. To maximize your underwater time, you should learn how to plan and carryout a multi-level dive.

During your Multi-level Diver program, you will go on two multi-level dives and also be exposed to a variety of different types of multi-level dive calculators - the dive planning wheel and various types of dive computers.

SEARCH & RECOVERY

Have you ever dropped something in the water? Are you looking for lost treasure? The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface.

You'll learn search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You'll also cover limited visibility, search patterns and safe object recovery using lift devices.

(Must be 12 years old, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver and PADI Underwater Navigation certifications)

UNDERWATER NAVIGATION

When you're underwater, knowing where you are and where you're going comes in handy, especially if you're looking for that beautiful reef that you've heard all about. The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course will help you become a pro at finding your way underwater.

During your PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course, you'll learn underwater navigation dive procedures, techniques, planning, organization and potential problems. You'll also be introduced to natural navigation, underwater patterns, distance estimation and further your compass navigation skills. You'll put these into practice during your three open water dives.

UNDERWATER NATURALIST

Then come in the PADI Underwater Naturalist program.

Your program will include two great reef dives, which will introduce you to different aquatic life, its interaction and behaviours, and include an overview of responsible human relations with our precious underwater world.
